On the last day of our conference, June 24, we celebrate Midsummer in Sweden. It’s the time of the year when the sun (almost) never sets and for many Swedes it is the start of a long summer vacation. This must be celebrated, and we do celebrate it in Sweden. Midsummer is the most typical Swedish tradition of them all.
Midsummer is well described on this official Sweden site and the film “Swedish midsummer for dummies” on the same site (scroll down) has won two Telly Awards. Bronze awards in the categories Infomercial and Travel/Tourism. The film is produced by the Swedish Institute.
We suggest you plan ahead and stay in Sweden for the weekend to take part in the Midsummer celebrations.
