Gothenburg can be reached via ferry, train, bus or plane. All trains, buses, and airport coaches arrive at the Central Station, which is basically in the centre of Gothenburg.
By sea
There is ferry traffic from Denmark (Fredrikshavn) and Germany (Kiel) To Gothenburg. The port is only a short distance from the city center. For information: www.aferry.com
By land
Sweden has an excellent train service. SJ (Statens Järnvägar) is a train network connecting most of the Swedish cities and the European continent through Denmark. It is always advisable to book the tickets well in advance, the earlier the better. For more information about traveling in Sweden: www.sj.se.

By air
There are large number of international airlines with direct flights from several European cities to Göteborg Landvetter airport (https://www.swedavia.com/landvetter/).
Shuttle services
EXRS2016 is not arranging any transport between the airport and the city center, but there are frequent shuttle services from Landvetter Airport (GOT) that take you to the city within 30 minutes of disembarkment.
Tickets can be pre-ordered over the internet. You can also buy tickets at the airport, at resellers or on board with a credit card (no cash). A ticket machine can also be found at some bus stops.
Customs and border formalities
Participants are advised to make their own arrangements with respect to entering Sweden. If you do need a visa to visit Sweden, please apply a minimum of three months prior to your trip. For further information on entry requirements and visas, please visit the Swedish Migration Board.

The next biggest airport close to Gothenburg is in Copenhagen. From there you can take a bus or train to Gothenburg. Use your favorite travel search engine to find out more.
